📦 Shipping & delivery
Where do you ship from?
Our partner warehouse in California, USA. We ship to all 50 states.
How long does delivery take?
Most orders go out within 24 business hours. Transit: 2–4 days West Coast, 4–7 days East Coast and Hawaii / Alaska. You'll get a tracking link by email.
Do you ship internationally?
Not currently — US-only for now. International shipping at scale comes later.
Is there a free shipping threshold?
Free standard shipping on orders over $49. Below $49, shipping is calculated at checkout based on item weight (typically $5–$15).

What's the return policy?
30 days from delivery. If your pup hates it, send it back — we'll refund within 10 business days. We pay return shipping with a pre-paid USPS label.
How do I start a return?
Email hello@avocadog.store with your order number. We'll send the pre-paid label + instructions within one business day.
Are returns free?
Yes — we cover return shipping. No restocking fees, no "must be unopened" gotchas.
🛏️ Plush Donut Calming Bed
Will this actually help my anxious dog?
Most pups settle into a donut bed within 3-7 days. The raised rim mimics a curl-up burrow — naturally calming. Not a magic cure, but a very common improvement when paired with a consistent routine (same bed, same spot, same time).
Is the cover machine-washable?
If you choose the "With Zipper" version — yes, zip-off cover, cold gentle wash, tumble dry low. Without Zipper version: spot-clean only.
What size for my dog?
- S — pets up to 5.5 lb (Yorkies, Chihuahuas, cats)
- M — pets up to 16.5 lb (Frenchies, Cavaliers, Shibas)
- L — pets up to 44 lb (Aussies, Border Collies)
- XL — pets up to 77 lb (Goldens, Labs, Pitties)
🍖 Slow-feeders & puzzle bowls
Will this slow my fast eater?
Yes — most pups go from 30-second inhalation to 8-12 min of mindful eating. Reduces bloat risk in deep-chested breeds (GSDs, Boxers, Great Danes) and prevents post-meal regurgitation.
Are the materials food-safe?
Yes — all our feeding products are BPA-free, food-grade plastic or silicone. Top-rack dishwasher safe unless noted otherwise on the product page.
🧊 Cooling mat (ice-silk)
Does it really cool without gel or water?
Yes — pressure-activated cooling fabric. No charging, no soaking. Lay it down, pup lies on it, fabric draws body heat into the floor. ~3 hours of cooling per session, then "rests" 15-20 min before the next round.
Best for which dogs?
Heat-sensitive breeds — Bullies, Frenchies, Pugs, Boston Terriers, Persians. Senior dogs that overheat fast. Apartments without AC.

What payment methods do you accept?
Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, all major cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), Affirm, Afterpay, Klarna for buy-now-pay-later on orders $50+.
Is my payment info secure?
Yes — all payments go through Shopify Payments (PCI-DSS Level 1). We never see or store your card details.
Do you charge sales tax?
We don't collect sales tax at checkout. Your state may still require you to remit use tax on out-of-state purchases — that's between you and your state. We monitor revenue per state and will register/collect once we cross applicable thresholds.
