1 · Who we are

Seller: Avocadog (sole proprietor — full name on request via hello@avocadog.store), a natural person operating under unregistered economic activity within the meaning of art. 5 sec. 1 of the Polish Entrepreneurs' Law (unregistered economic activity). Seller has no Polish NIP/VAT registration. As a foreign seller to US consumers, seller has no US business presence and operates under bootstrap sales tax mode (no collection below state nexus thresholds).

2 · What data we collect

  • Order data: name, shipping address, email, phone, items purchased, payment method (no full card numbers stored)
  • Account data (optional): email, password hash, order history
  • Cookies & analytics: Shopify session cookies, Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel (if you accept marketing cookies)
  • Communications: emails you send us, support tickets

3 · Why we collect it

  • To process and ship your order
  • To handle returns, refunds, and warranty claims
  • To send order confirmations and shipping updates
  • To send marketing emails (only if you opt in)
  • To improve the site through anonymous analytics

4 · Who we share it with

  • Shopify Inc. — storefront and payment processing
  • Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx)
  • Our fulfillment partner in California, USA (CJ Logistics US)
  • Payment processors (Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal, Affirm, Afterpay)
  • Email provider (Shopify Email / Zoho Mail for transactional)
  • Analytics (Google, Meta) — only with your cookie consent

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share it with data brokers.

5 · California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA) notice

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA:

  • Right to know — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, including categories collected, sources, purposes, and recipients in the past 12 months.
  • Right to delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention exceptions (e.g., tax, fraud).
  • Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — we do not sell personal information for money. We do permit Meta and Google to receive limited analytics data, which may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under CPRA. To opt out, decline marketing cookies in our cookie banner or email hello@avocadog.store with subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Info."
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect sensitive PI as defined under CPRA.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a different level of quality if you exercise any of the above rights.

To submit a CCPA request, email hello@avocadog.store with subject line "CCPA Request" and your full name + order email. We respond within 45 days. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with written authorization.

In the past 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information described in section 2 above, for the purposes described in section 3, shared with the recipients in section 4.

6 · Other US state privacy laws

Residents of the following states have similar rights under their respective state privacy laws. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@avocadog.store with the state name in the subject line.

  • Virginia (VCDPA) — right to access, correct, delete, port, and opt out of targeted advertising and sale.
  • Colorado (CPA) — right to access, correct, delete, port, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and profiling.
  • Connecticut (CTDPA) — right to access, correct, delete, port, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and profiling.
  • Utah (UCPA) — right to access, delete, port, and opt out of targeted advertising and sale.

For all state privacy requests we respond within 45 days. You may appeal a denial by replying to our response email.

7 · How long we keep data

  • Order records: 7 years (US tax / IRS recordkeeping)
  • Account data: until you delete the account
  • Marketing consent: until you withdraw it
  • Analytics: 14 months (Google Analytics 4 default)

8 · International data transfers

Seller is located in Poland. By placing an order, you understand and consent that your personal information will be transferred to and processed in Poland and other countries where our service providers operate (including the USA). We follow privacy best practices similar to GDPR for all customer data, regardless of residence.

9 · Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA compliance). If you believe we have collected such information, email hello@avocadog.store and we will delete it.

10 · Cookies & Do Not Track

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of "sale" or "sharing" under CCPA / CPRA. Browsers that send GPC will be treated as opted out of marketing analytics automatically.

11 · Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the site after the change means acceptance.
